Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll famously known around the globe as Shakira born in Barranquilla ,the capital of Columbia on February 2 1977. From her childhood her only love was music, music and music. She participated in many singing competition in the school and college life and firstly came on to the music scene in early 90’s .She sang a few songs in latin and after that did some commercials but that idea didn’t came as good as she would have thought.
She really became popular across the globe when she released her album Pies Descalzos in 1995 specially she got a great appreciation in the Latin american countries and in Spain. After that she never looked back and in the year 1998 she released another rocking album Dónde Están los Ladrones? which became the largest selling album in the Latin and Hispanophone countries but she won the hearts of the “English speaking” countries by the famous English song “Whenever whenever” in the Year 2001 and she continued to enlarge her fans club .
The year 2010 came and with this also came the FIFA world cup and Shakira was the one who sang the all time famous song “Waka Waka” in English and Spanish and this song broke all the records on the you tube.
Her next album Sale el Sol is expected in October 2010 and all the Shakira’s fans are desprately waiting for it..
